Research Interests

Specialist Research Track 

My research interest is directed through different trends to serve the Palestinian community and residents through: 

Trend I: Ionizing radiation Measurements 

I have, in cooperation with the World Bank and the Palestinian Ministry of Higher Education, established an advanced nuclear research laboratory which is the first of its type in Palestinian universities to assess radioactive nuclear pollution in all its forms and therefore, the path research have different trends, among: 

1) Measurements of radioactive pollution of natural and artificial radionuclides and radiation doses resulting from various environmental samples, diverse (soil, water, vegetation, building materials, foodstuffs, chemical fertilizers, air…). 

2) Measurements the concentrations of radon gas and calculate the radiation doses resulting from these concentrations in the air of houses and dwellings, in schoolrooms, in soil, in water and building materials…. 

Trend II: Non-Ionizing radiation Measurements 

1) Measurements of pollution caused by non-ionizing radiation (towers strengthen the mobile phone, electricity wires, high-voltage lines, TV towers, radio towers..). 

2) Study the effect of ionizing and non-ionizing on the environment and its inhabitants (humans and animals) and plants, as well as study the effects of radiation in the environment. Thus, awareness to avoid or minimize the extent of the damage caused by this pollution is one of my research priorities
